mod is made in a fully metal casing, due to which it weighs slightly more than 180 grams, another 100 grams are added by accumulators. Dimensions of the mod also not small, not everyone will be comfortable to hold in his hand. But I have this one of the favorite form factors. My favorite mod is IPV8 from Pioneer4you. The OBS mod is slightly wider and slightly thicker, but it’s just fine in the hand. Immediately creates the feeling that you hold in your hand a normal mod, and not some kind of plastic toy. In the upper part of the fashion, in the center, there is a 510 connector with a spring-loaded brass pin. Here you can install a tank with a diameter of up to 28 mm, larger tanks will bulge beyond the edge of the mod.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

On the front of the mod is a display, below it are two buttons, just below the USB port for charging and reflashing the mod. And the main distinguishing feature of the mod is the LED indication. Above and below the display there are LED inserts that glow evenly. On some mods with LEDs, the LEDs glow with dots, which looks so-so, here it looks much more beautiful. The LEDs light when the mod is turned on and when the fire button is pressed. In the menu, you can choose the color of the LEDs or completely disable them. There are 7 colors in total.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

On the side is a massive fire button. Dimensions of the button 12 x 12 mm. The button protrudes beyond the body dimensions by about 1.5 mm, making it convenient to press even in gloves. It is pressed clearly, with a click. To push it, you need to apply a little more effort than pressing the fire button on most mods. The button does not play at all.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

On the back side there is a battery compartment, access to it is carried out by removing the massive cover on four magnets. In the cover there are two slots for discharging the battery gases. The holes are closed with a perforated sheet. In some modes, the battery compartment cover inside is not covered with paint, apparently because if you do not climb inside, you can not see it. Here, the lid has a high-quality coating on both sides, only the exterior of the paint is additionally varnished, but inside there is none.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

On the sides of the mod are slotted so that the battery compartment lid can be easily caught with a fingernail. The cover is symmetrical and you do not have to try to install it as it was when installing it. In both positions, the magnets hold the cover equally strong. Even if the mod strongly shake, the lid does not fly off.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

Separately, I note that after installation, the lid is absolutely not playable and is installed without any gaps, in this respect the body is made very well. Inside the battery compartment we see a ribbon, for convenient removal of batteries. For the tight clamping of the batteries, there are 4 spring-loaded contacts. On the inner wall we see an image of the batteries with the indicated polarity.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

Showed the fashion from all angles, left the bottom. It’s nothing unusual. The area is sufficient for the mod to stand and not to fall at the slightest grazing. In one of the mods I tested, there was such a disadvantage that when you screwed the evaporator, it was hardly worthwhile to shake the table, and the mod was falling.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

Turns on the mode from the standard press of the fire button. During activation, the LEDs light up first in red, then in green, then in blue.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

The rest of the control is slightly different from the standard one. When you press the button again five times, the mode goes into lock mode.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

To enter the menu, press the fire button three times. There are 5 main items in the menu:

1. The first menu tab allows you to work with the backlight. Here you can choose the color of the highlight or completely disable it.
2. Selecting the steaming mode, varivatt or thermal control.
3. Manage puffs. With this function, you can lock the mode when the specified number of puffs is reached.
4. Submenu settings. Allows you to adjust the screen time, contrast or reset the settings to the default settings. In the same menu item, you can turn on stealth mode.
5. This menu item turns off the mod. Just like in my favorite IPV8, although it is not very convenient.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

At simultaneous pressing of the button of the fire and + or – we get into the preheating settings menu. Yes, two combinations of buttons lead to the same result. Here you can choose only a weak, normal or strong pre-heating degree.

Focus On www.urvapin.com For More Vape Start Kit.

The modem has the following protections:
1. When tightened for more than 10 seconds, the mode disconnects the voltage supply to the evaporator.
2. Protection against short circuit.
3. Protection against overheating.
4. Protection against recharging of batteries.

While charging batteries, the mod can be used.

Consider the tank.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

In this case, it is maintenance-free, without any significant differences from other similar tanks in terms of the transfer of taste and the amount of steam. And in terms of design there are two features. The first is connected with refueling. For refueling, you need to pull up the top cap. It moves up and down quite smoothly. The hole for filling is large enough, almost 4 mm in height and 10 mm in width. Under the hole is a silicone seal ring. The hole is marked with an arrow. Straight under the engraving “OBS” on the top cap. The capacity of the tank is 5ml. The diameter of the tank is 25 mm, height 55 mm, weight 49 grams.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W
Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

The tank is available in four colors. Steel, black, gold, blue.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

The second feature is related to the driptip. It is non-standard, slightly more than the 510th. For those who want to use the 510th dripper, there is an adapter in the kit. And already installed driptip and adapter have two sealing silicone rings, due to which a sufficient cloth is installed.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

The default is a three-spiral evaporator with a resistance of 0.2 ohms, designed for a power of 40-80 W, below is indicated the optimal power of 50-70 W. Also included is a single-helical evaporator with a resistance of 0.4 Ohm, designed for a power of 30-50 W, below is indicated the optimal power of 35-45 W. Glass pyrex, top and bottom are placed oringi, as usual. In the kit there is another spare glass and a few more rings.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W
Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

At the bottom there is a ring for adjusting the blowing. The blowing holes are located on both sides. The ring turns smoothly.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

In the following photos, you can view the bottom of the tank. Nothing unusual, brass pin and engraved brand.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

Let us consider the oscillograms of the mode operation.

When the mode is on, the resistance of the evaporator is measured continuously, to be precise, this happens 2 times per second. On some modes, for example, on the DNA200 board, the resistance is measured directly when the fire button is pressed. This option is more pleasant to me, but also in the way, as the fashion under review, too, there is nothing wrong with the battery, this method of measurement should not be spent much. As far as I remember, the Wismec RX300 metering process was also realized exactly. The resistance of the modes measures with a slight overstatement, for example, if the evaporator indicates 0.5 ohms, then according to the measurements of the mode 0.51 Ω, if 0.2 Ω, it shows 0.21 Ω. Less than 0.1 Ohm has not tested, but 0.12 Ohms pulls normally.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

The following oscillograms show the operation of the mode in the varivatt mode for 35, 100 and 218 W. We see that the voltage is applied exactly, without any failures or emissions.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

And in the following photos, it is possible to examine in more detail voltage pulsations for the same powers of 35, 100 and 218 W.

Electronic Cigarette OBS Bat Kit 218W

Conclusion

As I said, mod is very good in the hand. It is convenient to press the fire button with both thumb and forefinger, depending on how to hold the mod. Amenities add the fact that the button does not need to grope, it’s big and as you do not take the mod, then the thumb immediately falls on the button. It is especially convenient when using fashion in gloves. For two weeks of using the mod I did not reveal any glitches in his work. Separately, once again I will note the high quality of production. The disadvantages of fashion can only include the price, which, most likely, will soon decline.

Geekvape GBOX Squonker 200W TC MOD Review

For well over a year now, vapers have had the solution to inconvenient dripping. Squonking has become a normal term frequently used throughout the vaping world. It all started just over a year ago. Devices with little squeeze bottles that fed through a hollow pin into the base of the atomizer via a squeeze bottle made their way into vapers hands across theGeekvape GBOX Squonker 200W TC MOD Reviewworld. Now there are countless options from nearly every manufacturer out there. One small issue is the lack of power and battery life. Looking at the majority of squonk devices, they are generally single battery either 18650 or 20700. So in comes the Geekvape GBOX. The GBOX is a dual 18650 squonk device with more than the adequate battery and power options needed. High wattage vapers will enjoy all that the Geekvape GBOX has to offer in the way of long battery life and power balance.  Follow along as we look at the Geekvape GBOX.

Geekvape GBOX Squonker Mod Introduction

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Devices.

The most notable point with the GBOX is the size of the device. Trade off is required when Geekvape GBOX Squonker Mod Introductionlooking for a squonk device with a higher power output and extended battery performance. The GBOX is quite large and rightfully so. Space requirements to fit both 18650 batteries and squonk bottle are more than average. Regardless of it’s size, the GBOX fits well into the hands without feeling too large. The GBOX is comparable to the RX200 series devices from Wismec.

The design of the GBOX is rather nice, many curves and edges with a defined trim around the screen with a nice smooth finish, making the GBOX feel like a solid device. The screen spans a large portion of the device, with a nice high gloss cover and bright OLED screen to tie everything together in a beautiful design.

Size aside, this squonker has everything that any vaper could want and more. Wattage vapers can enjoy a range of 0-200W while temperature control enthusiasts will enjoy a 100-300F range with SS/TC-Ti/TC-Ni/TCR and bypass.

At the heart of it all is the Geekvape AS Chipset. While information on the AS chip is limited Geekvape GBOX Squonker Mod Introductionwe can still summarize it’s capabilities. Equipped with all standard safety and performance features, the AS chip is responsive and accurate, firing down to 0.1 ohm. Compared to some earlier Geekvape devices, the GBox is a major improvement in regards to function and responsive firing. Menu operation of the GBOX is fluid and smooth. The large OLED screen on the GBOX is beautiful and very easy to see in many lighting conditions.

Liquid capacity reached a maximum of 8ml in the bottle. This should be more than enough to get any vaper through a few hours of the day without stopping to refill. Squonking functions work as expected on the GBOX. The bottle squeezes nicely and easily pushes the liquid up into the base of the atomizer. No leaking or bad seal was observed while in use.

Geekvape GBOX Squonker Mod Final Thoughts

In summary, the GBOX is able to offer vapers the best mix of power and battery life. Featuring dual 18650 capabilities, most vapers will be able to get through a full or part of the day before changing batteries. Comparing that to single 20700 or 18650 squonking devices that require vapers to carry several batteries with them, the GBOX is a sound choice.

While it is a bit large, the device feels natural in the hand and the operation is smooth with the placement of the squonk bottle. Getting used to the placement of the hand is part of the process as sometimes it can lead to clicking the up/down power button. Overall, any person looking for a squonk device that offers high power and extended battery will find the GBOX fits well into their collection.

WOTOFO LUSH PLUS RDA REVIEW

Wotofo Lush Plus RDA Review

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Tank.

FIRST IMPRESSION OUT OF THE BOX:

The Wotofo Lush Plus comes in a two-tiered box. On the first tier, you will see the 24mm Lush Plus. Pull out the foam section and beneath it, you have three bags filled with wire, cotton, and spare parts. The packaging is typical of Wotofo and what I’ve come to expect after owning quite a few of their atomizers.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX:

  • One Wotofo Lush Plus 24mm RDA
  • Phillips Screwdriver
  • Spare Parts Pack
  • One Pack of Wotofo Comp Wire Pre Built Coils
  • One Pack of Organic Cotton

One thing was kind of weird. Wotofo included 3 coils. As far as I can tell, this RDA only has a dual coil mode to it. Then why they would include an odd number of coils? I guess they are thinking just in case you mess one up while building. But it would have been nice to get two full sets.

Wotofo Lush Plus RDA Review

FROM TOP TO BOTTOM:

Starting off at the top, we have what Wotofo calls a proprietary 9mm Delrin drip tip. To be honest, it is a Goon style drip tip and I have checked all my other Goom drip tips and they fit in the top cap very snug as well. I like the Delrin drip tip that’s included because it is on the tall side and not one of those short, chubby, chuff caps that I can’t stand.

Wotofo Lush Plus RDA Review

The top cap and barrel are all one piece. Inside this piece, you will find a very conical design. This probably contributes to the awesome flavor this RDA delivers. The combination top cap barrel has a nice resistance to it and it is held in place by two rings at the base.

The base of this RDA has two nice o’rings that work well with the top cap and barrel. This is a bottom airflow RDA. The airflow is not adjustable. To some, that may be a con but I find the airflow to be fine just the way it is. It’s not what I would call loose but it’s not that restrictive either. It’s somewhere in the middle. The air slots measure 4 mm x 2 mm and there are four of them, two on each side that are side by side. On the bottom of the RDA, there is some Wotofo branding present. The threading on the 510 pin is very smooth. The 510 pin has an insulator around it and does protrude quite a bit. The pin itself is adjustable and gold plated. The Lush Plus is available in black and stainless steel.

Wotofo Lush Plus RDA Review

THE DECK:

The deck is an offset dual-split post deck. The terminals are staggered and really make building a pleasure on it. Kudos to Wotofo for an innovative design. Each terminal measures 2.4 millimeters and your leads are secured by top mounted Phillips screws. The Lush Plus has a Kennedy style airflow system. The tubes are raised and sit below the coil. This minimizes leakage on a bottom airflow RDA. The juice well is deceptively deep as well.

Wotofo Lush Plus RDA Review

BUILDING AND WICKING:

I truly enjoyed building on the Lush Plus and I’ll explain why. The offset post makes building a sheer pleasure on this RDA. There is no need to pre-cut your coils like you do on some decks because the terminals are offset. It leaves the builder plenty of room to get a wire cutter in there and clip their leads. Simply place your coil over the air slots and wick it up. It really is that easy. Coil placement as with most RDAs is key, of course. You want to make sure you get that coil right over the air tubes. When wicking you want to make sure that the ends of your cotton clear the air tubes and do not obstruct the airflow at all. At first, I thought because of the bottom airflow this would be a nightmare for the type of dripper that over drips. However, the Lush Plus has proved to have a deceptively deep juice well. It is very hard to over drip on the Lush Plus and you almost have to drip a ridiculous amount of juice into it in order to get it to leak.

BUT DEUCES, HOW DOES IT VAPE?

I think this RDA is one of the sleeper RDA’s of 2017. I get some of the best flavor I have ever gotten off of any RDA. It is a breeze to build on and it’s even more of a pleasure to vape. I love the flavor I get from a bottom airflow RDA but I don’t always like the mess I get because I tend to be somewhat of a sloppy dripper. This has not been the case with the Lush Plus. I get great flavor, massive clouds, and the juice stays where it should in the RDA. I do get a little wetness now and then on my mod, but that’s to be expected because of the bottom airflow. I haven’t been able to put down the Lush Plus since I received it and it has quickly become one of my favorite RDAs. That alone is saying a lot because being a reviewer I have a ton of RDA’s to choose from.

Right now, I have dual Aliens in their ohming out at .26 at 60 watts in power mode. I am getting a fantastic, flavorful, vape off of this build in this RDA. The clouds are great and the vapor is thick, dense, and lush. No pun intended.

CONCLUSION:

If you’re looking for a simple RDA that is easy to build and wick, you don’t need to look any further. The Lush Plus checks off all those boxes. Everything this RDA sets out to do, it does extremely well. While the clouds on the Lush Plus are not bad, make no mistake about it, this is a flavor atomizer first. It is well constructed, very easy to build on, flavorful, and cloudy. I mean really, what more do you really want from an RDA? Basically, what I’m saying is go out and get yourself a Lush Plus and you can thank me later. I promise you will not regret it. This RDA is without a doubt DeucesJack approved.

IJOY CAPTAIN SUB OHM TANK REVIEW

iJoy Captain Subohm Tank Review

FIRST IMPRESSION OUT OF THE BOX:

The iJoy Captain sub ohm tank comes packaged very nicely. It is in a clear box with everything on one level. The tank itself is absolutely beautiful. I like the look of it and the crease that is kind of between the base and the glass. It gives the tank a kind of curvy look.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX:

  • One Ijoy Captain Sub-Ohm Tank
  • One CA2 Fused Clapton Coil
  • One CA8 Octuple Coil
  • One Replacement Glass Tank Section
  • One 510 Drip Tip Adapter
  • Spare Parts Pack
  • Warranty Card

iJoy Captain Subohm Tank Review

FROM TOP TO BOTTOM:

Let’s start off with the drip tip. I absolutely love the shape of this drip tip. It is wide and tall and just extremely comfortable to use. It is not a 510 or 810 compatible drip tip though. My 810 fit kind of loose but all of my Smok drip tips from my Beast series of tanks fit snugly. I really like the way they did this drip tip. I just wish they would have made it a proper Goon connection.

The top cap is flat. It is very nicely machine inside. The threading on it is extremely smooth and it goes on and off quite easily. The fill ports are half-circle in shape with a bar in the middle of each half of a circle separating them. The chimney itself seems to be kind of narrow but the part that screws into the coil has a really nice conical design to it.

iJoy Captain Subohm Tank Review

Between the base and the glass, there is a sort of cut out that kind of gives the tank a curvy look. Right below the cutout you have your airflow slots. They are smooth to operate and there are no stoppers present on them. There is some knurling in between the airflow slots. Below the slots, you have the rest of the base which also has some knurling. The 510 pin is gold plated and non-adjustable. On the bottom of the atomizer, there is some branding from iJoy and threads on the 510 itself are buttery smooth.

The tank is available in a bunch of different capacities. IJoy developed a 2ml, 4ml, and 6ml version. It is also available in stainless steel, black, rainbow, and gunmetal.

THE COILS:

The Captain sub ohm tank comes with two excellent coils. I will go over both of them in detail right now. The first coil I tried was the .15 ohm CA8 coil. iJoy has the coil rated from 60 to 120 watts. I’ve been vaping this coil at around 85 watts in power mode and I have been getting a fantastic vape. It will do well in the lower wattages as well but for me the sweet spot is between 85 and 95 watts. I get a very flavorful vape and this coil keeps up with any type of juice I throw at it. I never get any dry hits and the vape quality is just phenomenal. Right now. I have it on my Innokin Coolfire Ultra at 85 watts and I get a lush, flavorful, dense and wet vape. This is my favorite coil out of the two.

The next coil is the .3 ohm CA2. It is a combination of kanthal and stainless steel wire. Ijoy says this produces better clouds and flavor. IJoy has it rated from 60 to 80 watts. This coil is more about the flavor than it is about the clouds, for me at least. It does have very good cloud production but the flavor is where this coil concentrates its efforts. It also has a much tighter wattage range than the CA8 coil. So you don’t have the flexibility to run it as hot as you can run the CA8 coil. Nonetheless, it is still a very good coil that provides a very satisfying vape. I get really good flavor and the clouds are not bad at all.

iJoy Captain Subohm Tank Review

If I was forced to put the two coils in a category I would have to say that the CA2 to coil is more like a Big Baby Beast coil with better flavor and the CA8 coil is more like the lower end of a TFV12 coil. That’s the way I would rank these two coils. All in all, I don’t think you can go wrong with either one of them. Both coils are not threaded and are the drop in style of coil.

I am a little disappointed in iJoy because they did not develop an RBA section for this tank. I am really hoping that if this tank develops a following, they will do an RBA section for it sometime in the future. With a tank this good, it would be a shame if it did not have one. Get to work iJoy.

BUT DEUCES, HOW DOES SHE VAPE?

What’s not to like about the way this tank vapes? I mean, if you read my description in the previous section, you basically have a choice between a better Baby Beast or a Cloud Beast King type of vape. Both of them are excellent and have something to offer most types of vaper. For me, this is one of the best sub ohm tanks of the year as far as I’m concerned. I have no idea why it’s not getting more play in the vape community because this is truly a great sub ohm tank. It’s probably everything the Crown 3 should have been. The only reason I compare it to the Crown is because they seem to have a similar coil system. However, don’t think for one minute that the quality control on the Captain coils is bad because it is not, not at all. I’m here to tell you that these coils are on point when it comes to flavor. This tank blows the Crown 3 out of the water in every category. So if you were disappointed in the review I gave the Crown 3, fret not my friend. Go get yourself an Ijoy Captain.

CONCLUSION:

This tank just checks off all the boxes for me. I think it’s a sexy looking tank, vapes great, and has versatile coil choices. I mean, what more could you ask for in a tank? This sub ohm tank does everything that you ask it to do and then some. I am a little disappointed that there is no RBA section for it because I think any company that develops a sub ohm tank should give the user the option of an RBA section. Hopefully, this is something at iJoy will develop in the future if this tank takes off.

AUGVAPE Intake RTA Review: This RTA Tank is 100% “Leak-Proof”

IDEAL FOR FIRST TIME RTA-ERS!
The AUGVAPE Intake RTA is an ideal tank for anyone that is completely new to the world of RTAs. It’s simple to setup, easy to wick, and it NEVER leaks. In the month that I used it, I didn’t have a single leak – and I even tried it with rubbish wicking. It also looks really cool too, and while there are better tanks for flavor on the market, the Intake RTA is one of the most forgiving RTA setups I have ever used. Perfect for beginner RTA users.

The biggest thing about RTA tanks that puts people off is that they leak – or they’re fiddly to wick. Or, sometimes… BOTH!

There are definitely a few beginner-friendly options around right now, and the AUGVAPE Intake RTA, with its unique airflow system, is yet another option.

This tank, like a couple on the market right now, claims to be 100% leak-proof, so even the n00biest of n00bs can work and live with it.

So how does it stack up in reality? Let’s bloody well find out, shall we?

AUGVAPE Intake RTA Design

AUGVAPE Intake RTA

Fully Loaded On Top of The GeekVape AEGIS Mod

The Intake RTA is certainly a handsome chap. The bulging glass tank, the knurled effect around the drip tip, and the blue resin drip tip all make for an aesthetically pleasing tank.

As soon as I unboxed it, I knew I liked it. It just has “that” look about it – Vandy Vape is good at achieving this kind of thing. And so too is AUGVAPE it seems.

It’s a big boy, though. Chunky, solid, robust – and it’s also a single coil RTA which I found kind of bizarre. Normally, single coil RTAs are a little more svelte and slimmed down.

AUGVAPE Intake RTA

The Top-Mounted Airflow (Which Links Up With The Internal Tubes)

Not that this is a bad thing. I like my tanks with a bit of muscle, and the AUGVAPE Intake RTA has it in spades.

But what makes the AUGVAPE Intake RTA so unique in the RTA space is its airflow, which is placed at the top.

This is why it NEVER leaks. It literally CANNOT leak!

Why? Simple: gravity just won’t let it happen.

This is a clever move, and I expect to see A LOT more RTA tanks using a similar system in the coming months.

All you have to do when setting it up is ensure the airflow posts, these are found inside the tank, are lined up. That’s literally it. Bang the coil in, wick it, and you’re good to go.

AUGVAPE Intake RTA

A Handsome Devil!

The airflow control is located just below the drip tip. You can have it wide open, partially closed, or whatever suits your style best. Personally, I prefer it wide open.

To refill with E Juice, simply turn the top cap counter-clockwise and it pops off, revealing large(ish) kidney-shaped fill ports.

All told, this RTA is INSANELY easy to set up and live with.

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Tank.

AUGVAPE Intake RTA Deck

This is a single coil RTA, and that means you can run it pretty economically without degrading the flavor or performance.

During my stint with this vape tank, I’ve been running it in and around 45W to 60W, and it seems perfectly happy at either increment.

Setting the coil is also really simple on this deck too; you gave two Philips screws that secure it in place, and lining it up with the airflow is as easy as can be.

AUGVAPE Intake RTA

The Deck And Those Unique Airflow Tubes

This, for me, is what makes the AUGVAPE Intake RTA so special. It’s been made with new users in mind, those that might not be used to an RTA or rebuildable deck.

And it has done ALL it can to make it as painless as possible.

The airflow system is also kinda unique too; the tubes circulate the airflow to the bottom of the tank and onto the coil, and you also have that side airflow at the top as well.

This is partly why you do not get any leaking, as there are no exposed airflow ports at the base of the device. The tubes do all the internal airflow work.

The machining and connections are all very much on point too; everything connects and comes apart in a buttery smooth fashion.

AUGVAPE Intake RTA

The Large Kidney-Shaped Juice Fill Ports

There are no stiff components or wonky screws. Once everything’s set, the tank fits together perfectly and feels incredibly secure.

I’m a huge fan of single coil RTA tanks, as they use less power yet still provide great flavor and clouds. The AUGVAPE Intake RTA is no exception to this rule.

Chuck in ZERO leaking and AUGVAPE could well have a winner on its hands here.

So how’s the overall performance?

AUGVAPE Intake RTA Performance

It’s good. I like it, especially since it doesn’t leak – like, at all.

The one thing I’m not 100% loving about the Intake RTA is the airflow; it’s kinda restricted even when wide open.

I don’t mind restricted airflow at all, but I like having the option to rock out with my airflow wide open when the mood takes me.

This is an entirely subjective point, however, as what I like will almost certainly be completely different to what you do.

The tank runs smoothly though, really smooth, and it’s super quiet as well. Flavor is decent too. Not the greatest. But definitely well above par.

AUGVAPE Intake RTA

Solid Connector, Beautifully Finished

It’s just not quite as precise as I’d like it to be. RTAs, for the most part, are big hitters in the flavor department. But the Intake feels more like a decent sub ohm tank, with respect to flavor.

The big idea here is simple: it’s an RTA that doesn’t leak. This is big, as it means new users can pick on up and use it right off the bat with no hassle.

And I think this is the entire point of the AUGVAPE Intake RTA. Simplicity. But this simplicity comes at a cost: and that cost is flavor – it’s just not quite as good as some RTAs around right now.

And this is 100% down to the airflow system that is used in it.

I do like this tank a lot. I’ve had a blast testing it. It does A LOT of things right – especially the zero leaking thing.

It is definitely a great option for anyone looking at dipping their toes into the world of RTA tanks.

I just think an experienced RTA user will feel a little short-changed in the flavor department.

For anyone coming from a sub-ohm tank, however, the AUGVAPE Intake RTA is definitely worth a look.

It’s simple to use and performs solidly in almost every regard.

Vandy Vape Kylin Mini RTA review ….The single coil RTA to beat?

What you get

Now I got a trial production unit and as stated on the box may be different than the bulk production units.

  • Kylin mini with 3ml glass installed
  • Bubble glass for 5ml capacity (verified with a syringe)
  • Spare o’rings
  • Spare allen screws (the deck comes pre-installed with phillip head grub screws)
  • Blue 810 drip tip and optional black grooved 810 drip tip
  • 510 drip tip adapter
  • Phillips screwdriver and allen wrench
  • Clapton coil
  • I did not receive a owners manual but I believe the production version will

Specs

  • 42.5mm H with drip tip, not including 510 x 24.4mm wide at base, 28mm for bubble glass
  • Threaded top fill with 2 large kidney shaped fill holes
  • 180º 21-hole honeycomb airflow
  • Reduced chamber design
  • Gold plated postless deck and screws

Check out this deck!

First thing that impressed me was the deck, talk about coverage, it encircles the bottom of your coils….I was impressed when I saw it.

Normally I am not a big fan of phillip head grub screws but these are the usual great screws you get from Vandy Vape, build after build they hold up so well. They include a spare pair of your normal everyday allen grub screws, also gold plated but this is one of the few times I didn’t feel the need to swap out the phillip heads, there excellent.

One thing that gave me pause was the wicking slots, not a lot of room there, it is about 1.6mm deep and 6mm wide. You are also in the way of the threads so care has to be taken so you do not get your wick shifted when you screw the tank back together.

Another thing that made me go hmmm was to remove the deck the glass is just floating there. Luckily the top o’ring holds it snug so even if I removed it with juice still inside I was able to access the deck. You have to be careful though, would have been nice to have the glass secured when removing the deck.

It will take all 810 drip tips but I did notice that most of my TFV8/12 810 drip tips with dual o’rings and some goon style friction fit did not sit flush. That is sort of a bummer but the majority of my friction fit 810’s were fine.

For a 24.4mm tank the fill ports are as big as they can make them which is great, I would sometimes just carefully pour directly from the bottle instead of using a dropper.

The Build

I tried several builds in the Kylin Mini, all of them various degrees of great, even the supplied coil gave off some excellent results. Here I am going to show my favorite build using Quad Core Fused Claptons which is SS316L 30G x 4 with a 40G outer wrap.

I used 6 wraps on a 3.5mm post…..oh yeah, this deck can take a big coil, there is room for bigger if your so inclined but thinning out the wicks is a must with that much cotton through the coil.

This build I had sitting a little higher to give the airflow room to breath. You can’t go much higher though with a big coil due to the reduced chamber design.

Focus On www.urvapin.com For Best Vape Tanks.

Now with this 3.5mm coil I had a lot of cotton to deal with, I cut the wicks by putting my scissors on the bottom of the deck, not the base and cutting there.

This is prior to thinning out and fluffing the cotton.

What worked best for me and my chain vaping style was to have the wicks end right before the threads. This pic is with the wick dry, after juicing them up just position them so they are not in the way of the threads.

Performance

The flavor I am getting off this is just fantastic and the airflow is smooth. Being a single coil it is not for cloud chasers but it’s no slouch either, nice dense flavorful clouds is what you will get. The flavor I get with the 3.5mm coil is the kind of flavor where you lick your lips a little after, not spitty but not dry. A smaller coil produces less of the lick your lips phenomenon but still gives out great flavor.

The airflow control is smooth and solid and no weird sounds whether it be full open, 3/4 or any size opening, this must be mainly due to the honeycomb design.

With the wicking I prefer it can be a little spitty right after you refill, this goes away after a few pulls though. Juice flow control would have been nice but I am not mad at it and have never sprung a leak.

I must say that build after build the Kylin Mini has left me impressed, one of the best….hell…probably the best single coil RTA I have reviewed.

Some comparisons

I have been enjoying some single coil RTA as of late, not my usual norm, I still prefer dual coils as it just matches my vape style better. While doing a build on the Kylin Mini I decided to put the same build in a couple others I had purchased for fun……ok, there was a sale…can’t help myself.

Pharoah Mini: Now I just got this in a few days ago so not a fair comparison until I have more time. Flavor is pretty good on the Pharoah Mini but the airflow is more restrictive. Just from an airflow standpoint alone I prefer the Kylin Mini and feel the flavor is just a little more rich.

Geekvape Zeus: I am a fan of the Zeus, not the best flavor but the looks and top airflow so no leaks offset the slight loss of flavor, it is not bad but the Kylin Mini beats it for flavor…..easily. The Kylin Mini is also easier to build on, if I had to let one go then it would be the Zeus but I sure would hate to.

OBS Crius II: Only about a week of limited use but I got the gold and wow is it sexy. For looks the Crius wins hands down, just a great looking tank. Maybe I have to buy the Kylin Mini in gold for a fair comparison but I have my doubts it would be sexier. The Crius II is a very good performer but the airflow is slightly more restricted. The Crius II also has an odd triangle type screwdriver, if you lose that your screwed…what was OBS thinking, are allen screws so passe? Flavor is pretty close but I still give the edge to the Kylin Mini. I sort of want to say it is a wash between these 2 so far but then again my time with the Crius II is limited. For looks I would pick the Crius II, for performance the Kylin Mini…..I would go with the Kylin Mini, the thought of losing that stupid Crius II triangle screwdriver would keep me up at night.

Final thoughts

I have to admit that from my first build I was impressed with the flavor and quality of vape the Kylin Mini puts out. After a few days I thought wow, I could write the review now but dredged on to see if I could find a fault other than the tricky wicking. After close to 3 weeks and 4 or 5 builds it has held up extremely well and my opinion from the first few days has not changed, it is an excellent performing tank that is hard to fault.

About the only thing that I don’t love about the Kylin Mini aside from the wicking is the looks of my SS version. Once they are readily available I am going to check out the other colors, just may very well be another Kylin Mini in my future to replace my SS version. As I tend to do there is a pic gallery at the end of my reviews with the Kylin Mini on various mods, you can decide for yourself…..I just looked at my pics and it is not bad looking at all, I am just being a jerk….as usual…lol

Augvape BTFC RDA – two blowers for a decent bulk

The company Augvape, together with a reviewer VapnFagan sawed a new drip. According to the developers, it is suitable for those who like flavoring, and will not bypass the fans and ponavalivat, releasing a bunch of clouds from a loved one. Let’s look what the developers decided to surprise us this time.

Interesting moment – on the manufacturer’s site this atomizer is listed under the “name” of SKYNET SUB-OHM TANK. This is a mistake or some cunning move is for certain unknown.

Exterior drips a bit angular. So, taking into account this fact, coupled with decent dimensions, we get a kind of “male” atomizer, which all its appearance hints at the seriousness of its intentions.
Augvape BTFC RDA - two blowers for a decent bulk ...
According to the manufacturer’s statement, the height is only 33 mm, but I’m inclined to believe that there the developers slukavili, and that value – 33 mm – takes place without a drift type installed.

The color range does not shine with a special variety – the most popular coloring is realized.

He sits in the top cap, at the base of which there are two pairs of oblong holes. This type of blowing, by the way, not directed at an angle to the deck, will be responsible for the “wild” bulk. Adjustment is achieved by rotating the cover relative to the side skirt. True, they did not provide a single drawing, so as not to spoil their “flawless” appearance.
Augvape BTFC RDA - two blowers for a decent bulk ...
The side skirt is rich in six air intake openings. So in the upper part of it there are four pair holes of a familiar profile. But at the very base there are two wide enough holes. Adjustment of the second blowing is realized by rotating the skirt relative to the deck.

In each of the columns one can see one lower blowing hole. And here, as for me, is not the most pleasant moment – the inner border of these holes is located directly under the center of the coil. As you know, this is where the spot is located, which should be blown first. The conclusions are clear. However, in practice this moment can be leveled, although this is unlikely.

The Smoant Cylon TC 218 – A powerful and affordable mod

Smoant Cylon TC 218 box mod black

At first glance the Smoant Cylon TC 218 might seem like the poor man’s SX Mini G-Class, but it’s so much more than that. Smoant invests a lot of money in research and development and their products are a testimony of performance and quality. Responsive chips, top quality materials, excellent temperature control and very affordable. All of the mods we tested from them have completely blown us away and this bad boy is no exception.

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Devices.
PROS:

Extremely good chip

Impressive performance

Beautiful display

CONS:

A bit on the bulky side

The all new Ant218 v2 chip

With their latest mod Smoant decided to update their chip. The new Ant218 v2 is a lot faster, with a response time of 0.015 seconds. The chip is also upgradeable and offers superior quality and an incredible vaping experience overall.

What you get with this mod

The Smoant Cylon TC 218 comes packed in a very nice white presentation box. Inside you will find the mod itself, a user manual, warranty card and micro-USB cable. The device is available in two colors – black and tarnish and the build quality is just amazing for this price tag.

Size, weight and design

Smoant Cylon TC 218 box mod with RDAIt measures 90mm x 47mm x 32mm and weighs around 190g without batteries. You will need two high drain 18650 cells to power up this 218W champ. For best results we recommend going for a reputable brand like Sony or LG.

On top of the Smoant Cylon TC 218 we have a beefy 510 connector with a spring loaded center pin. It will accommodate atomizers with diameters between 22mm – 30mm and this is a massive pro. The fire button is placed on the side, while the display, adjustment buttons and micro-USB slot on the front. The battery door is on the base and it has that nice slide to unlock mechanism. Everything feels durable and well-built. The body is made from zinc alloy, with a classy leather finish.

The display and menu system are really nice

To enter the menu you need to press the fire button for three consecutive times. The lovely 1.3 inch color display is a pleasure to work with and everything is quite intuitive. You can adjust the type of boost in variable wattage mode and there is also a VW curves option. Temperature control includes presets for Nickel, Titanium and Stainless Steel and here too we have a TC curves option. Minimum resistance is 0.1 Ohms for regular power mode and 0.05 Ohms for TC mode.

There are two types of users interfaces on the Smoant Cylon TC 218. The first one will just show a changeable wallpaper underneath the adjustable settings and menu. The second one is way more interesting and looks like the flight instruments from a fighter jet’s cockpit. One thing we like is that you can fully adjust the wattage in TC mode. We recommend checking out the manual for all available shortcuts.

Performance and final words

Performance wise, the Smoant Cylon TC 218 is one of the best mods we tried so far and one we totally recommend. It’s incredible what you get for this price tag and it works with all diameter atomizers. The 218W output is more than enough for anyone from beginner to pro and the chip is ultra-responsive. Apart from its size and weight we didn’t find any cons. It’s a great device and one of our personal favorites.

SMOK RESA STICK Starter Kit Full Review

When I became aware the release of the SMOK Resa Stick was imminent I was excitedly anticipating another wonderful vape pen experience with the magnificent TFV12 Resa Prince Tank and a powerful battery that would match the same cobra resin style finish of the TFV12 Resa Prince. Sadly, (somewhat) the actual Resa Stick didn’t live up to what I hoped it would be. It’s a fine stick pen device, but it could have been, should have been…  better.

Focus On www.urvapin.com For More Vape Start Kit.

When a Resa Prince is not a Resa Prince

The SMOK Playbook in full force

I had hoped… no; I had every reason to believe that the upcoming (now availableResa Stick would NOTfollow the SMOKTech Playbook that one of our Reviewers continues to talk about, and UNLIKE the previous vape pen, the Stick Baby PrinceSMOKwould see the wisdom in releasing a genuine Resa Prince on-a-stick device, not a Resa Baby Sub-Ohm Tank. Apparently, that SMOKTech Playbook is real.

This SMOK Resa Baby Tank has the same e-liquid capacity as the full Resa Prince; 7.5mL. It is considered a Resa Baby because instead of the full-size TFV12 Prince Replacement Coils that the Resa Prince uses, this Resa Baby uses TFV8-Baby Replacement Coils, specifically, a V8 Baby Mesh, the preinstalled 0.15-ohm prebuilt coil, and an additional V8 Baby-M2 0.25-ohm Dual Coil. These two replacement coils are your only option when using the Resa Baby on the Stick battery. So far, there is no optional Resa Baby RBA.

It’s interesting to note that on the SMOKTech website, this new tank is simply referred to as the Resa Baby, no mention of the word ‘Prince’ anywhere on its product page.

Main Feature Highlights of the SMOK Resa Stick

The SMOK Resa Stick Kit IS a vape pen-style device that is certainly aesthetically beautiful. The TFV12 Resa Babyfeatures the same magnificent resin dyed elements of the full size Resa Prince. Constructed with a striking cobra resin design and using high-grade stainless steel, this tank and vape pen combo stand out as one of the most attractive stick devices made to date, and instantly ‘ages’ the look of the 3 months old Stick Prince. As you can see by the photos in the review, an all-cobra tank and battery in a myriad of deeply saturated colors cause the Stick Prince to look downright dowdy.

Focus On www.urvapin.com For More Vape Start Kit.

Replacement Coils vs the 2000mAh Resa Stick Battery

Because the Resa Stick is a voltage device, not wattage, it has a workable voltage range of 3.4v to 4.2v. A fully charged Resa Stick battery begins throwing out 4.2v and as it is used by the Vaper, the voltage decreases, along with the quality of the vape, until it bottoms out at 3.3v, at which time it stops working and must be recharged via the included USB cable. Recharge time is roughly 2-2.5 hours. That said, a moderate Vaper will enjoy smooth vaping for about 3 active hours, and a heavy Vaper, like myself, gets roughly 2 hours of prime vaping before the quality is too low to enjoy. It would have been nice, and wise, to give the Resa Stick an extra 1000mAh for a lengthier vape time.Preinstalled in the Resa Baby Sub-Ohm is the aforementioned V8 Baby Mesh Kanthal Core, a fast heating, 0.15-ohm coil with a wattage range of 40W-80W, and an optimal range of 60W-70W. The second coil in the US Kit is the V8 Baby M2, a quad coil 0.25-ohm that requires less wattage than the Baby Mesh. When I began this review period I wondered how a 2000mAh battery would hold up. Could this Direct Voltage 2000mAh battery provide enough power and kick to live up to SMOK’s nickname for the Resa Stick, the Cloud Hunter? Hmmm…

This uniformed set-up Resa Stick is a resin-covered vape stick that is fun and enjoyable while there remains enough power in the battery to power the Coils.  The 7.5mL juice capacity matches the full size TFV12 Resa Prince but uses TFV8 Baby Coil System.

Personal Observations of the SMOK Resa Stick

After getting over my initial disappointment that the Resa Stick was not a Resa Prince Sub-Ohm Tank, instead it was yet another “new” tank called the Resa Baby, a tank that takes a step backward with TFV8 Baby Replacement Coils, I found myself enjoying it anyway.

While the TFV12 Prince Stick has a smooth stick battery, the Resa Stick and its cobra resin finish provides a pretty wonderful tactile feel. It’s nice sized circular fire button is firm yet responsive, and other than the USB port, is the only component on the exterior of the battery. No display, no dials, no adjustments. I wouldn’t use it as my primary vaping instrument, but as a setup to grab on the way out of the office or house, to use on errands, or on a night out, it does just fine. With two large airflow slots at the bottom of the Resa Baby, and the new V8 Baby Mesh, the flavor and vapor remind me of the SMOK Big Baby Beast vape experience. Excellent flavor, and good vapor, but nowhere near the flavor power or cloud thickness of the TFV12 Prince or Resa Prince. The wide bore cobra drip tip never gets a change to overheat, but then again, the same drip tip of the full size Resa Prince doesn’t either, even at 90W or so.

Lastly, SMOK released the Resa Stick in a variety of color schemes, including a dark 7-color ‘rainbow-like’ that looks a lot like the 7-color Resa Prince and the SMOK Majesty Luxe Rainbow + Cobra Mod. Additional colors include; Black, Yellow (honey with specks of green and dark and light yellows), purple, green, blue, a blood red, pink and a white finish. Each battery and tank are matched perfectly.
